Sincerely Fro Me To You ~ Age 18

This picture was taken about a month after I got married,  we were married on Oct 29,1996 and this picture was taken right before Christmas for a modeling contest I was entering.  I was only 18 in this picture, hard to believe it was 12 years ago.  I saw an ad in the paper for a modeling tryout and I went.  I was excepted and off my career would go or so I thought.  First let me say I had the weight right I was a size 1 yes you read that size 1 which is way to small I think ever rib stuck out I was sickly, I was a newlywed and I didn't know how to cook, HD traveled and was gone 5 days a week and so I lived on Cheerios's and we ate out on the weekends.  Anyway the modeling company loved the size but I have one down fall that they couldn't overlook I am only 5'3....  That is not super model material.  We went to a beautiful hotel in Louisville Ky called the Taft and we spent several hundred dollars on lessons to walk and learn more about modeling and in the end I was rejected.  More or less I was told not every pretty face is made to model, I was just to short even in high heels!  I loved the 3 weeks of fame I thought I was going to have, and being that I had always struggled with my weight being so small felt great.  Looking back on those pictures today I think I look rather pale and I have absolutely no breasts am flat looking.  And boy did I have alot of make up on!
I am very happy things turned out without fame!  God had big plans for me to be a wife, mother and a teacher and those are the most important things to me and make me very happy!

The crock pot your friend

I want to share with you all today something that will save you tons of time and allow you to play all day in the summer sun!  Can you believe summer is almost over?  Hard to believe in only a month I will be homeschooling 2 children, I am nervous with a capital N!  Back to the time saving, use your crock pot, the crock pot is your friend!  It saves me so much time and it allows me to have very tasty meals while enjoying my day with the kids and staying out of the kitchen.  I use the crock pot a few times a month in the summer and even more in the winter because I love hot stew and soups.  I am going to share two recipes that are all mine.  One is my crock pot chicken and the only reason I have decided to share is because on Monday when I got a nasty comment you all were so supportive and I love you all really I do, so I think you all need this recipe!  And the second recipe will be Lima Beans and bacon, a great summer recipe that just screams I Live In The South...

HM's Crock Pot Chicken
8 to 10 pieces of dark meat chicken like legs or thighs or 1 whole chicken  I use dark meat
2 cups of apple cider vinegar
2 table spoons of minced garlic
1 table spoon hot sauce
salt and pepper

This is such an easy recipe it's hard to believe its one of my families favorites.  I put the raw chicken in the crock pot and all the seasonings and vinegar and cook on med/low all day.  It cooks for about 8 hours.  At the very end you will need to take all the chicken out of the crock pot and clean all the bones out, pour the juice into another bowl making sure all the bones are out of the juice as well.  Now put the chicken back into the crock pot and pull it all apart.  I use two forks or my kitchen scissors.  After the chicken is good and shredded up add some of the juice back in to make a nice consistency for sandwiches.
Now serve on buns with some BBQ sauce I use Sweet Baby Rays.  I also make a side of french fries in the oven and a toss salad.  Easy and really quick dinner.

Lima Beans and Bacon
2 bags of frozen lima beans
2 20oz cans of diced tomatoes (undrained)
2 table spoons of spicy mustard
salt and pepper
2 tea sugar
1/2 cup water

Place all of the ingredients in the crock pot and you will cook on low for 8 hours.  You will need to fry 1 or 2 pounds of bacon.  You serve these beans with the bacon chopped up on top and with some corn bread.

So please pull your crock pot out and use them its not a winter only appliance and it can same you time!

A movie review and a question

We went to see Prince Caspian this evening.  We have a theater that has a 50 cent deal that's 50 cents per person can you believe that only 50 cents.  We asked my mother and grandparents to come with us, so we made a real family affair of it.
I love the Chronicles of Narnia!  HD has been reading them to us since last year.  We finished up the 4th book which is Prince Caspian on our drive home from Fort Lauderdale, HD actually read the entire book on the car ride home it was great!
I really liked the movie and I say liked because I loved the book.  The movie was Hollywood.  Some of my favorite parts of the book were changed completely and some things in the movie were not even in the book.  A part I did not like was that the movie made King Peter out to be some what selfish and uncaring of the Narnians which is totally not true.  A part of the movie that I did like was at the end Queen Susan kissed Prince Caspian.
I do recommend seeing the movie it was a good movie but even more I recommend reading the book.

Have any of you bloggers even gotten a nasty mean or hateful comment?  I did today and it really makes you feel funny.  I am always open to kind suggestions even if I disagree, but talking bad about my children and husband is unacceptable and will never be published, really does someone think I would publish something crude about my family, this blog is a constant testament of how much I love my family.  I love all of you blog friends I have made and your comments make my day and I know many of you pray for me which means much more than sweet words.  The nasty comment was really hateful and just through me for a loop because I find so much joy in sharing with you all.  Thank you to all of you who encourage me and are willing to read my blog and laugh with me!

Everyone went home

Everyone left today.  I was really sad.  I had so much fun with my cousin Emily!  We stayed up till after midnight every night she was here and last night we stayed up until 2:30 in the morning, we laughed until we cried.  I haven't had that much fun just talking in a long time!  I am so glad we got to have a few days together (and I know you read this Emily so I miss you already and can't wait for you to visit again) and can't wait to do it again.
On Tuesday my grandpa and I took my grandma to see a doctor, a psychiatrist to be honest, she has been forgetting things and not normal 77 year old forgetting and sadly my grandma has been diagnosed with the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, I can't really say I am surprised because I kind of already knew, that's why I made the appointment but the thinking she has Alzheimer's and the knowing she has it is very different.  She started taking a medication today that will slow the effects of the Alzheimer's.  I was able to really put this horrible news out of my mind while our company was here and that made it much easier.  My grandma is in very high hopes that the medication will work for her and we all are relying on God to work this all out for his glory.  I just love her so much ...
Tonight we had our small group and Ruby wife who is one of my best friends is in the group and I tell you I have kept it together really well all week and I just fell apart this  evening on her, I am very thankful that even though my grandma needs me to be strong I have a wonderful best friend who is there for me with such Godly advice I can't begin to tell you how great it was to have my awesome husband on one side of me and my loving friend on the other letting me blubber like a baby, and I felt better really I did.  I needed to cry I think it's the first time since I found out that I have aloud myself to really let it all out.  Thank you Ruby Wife for being such a good friend and always being there for me!  I love you!
So I had a long week and since my camera is broken I can't even show you any pictures.  I think that my cousin sent me some so I will post pictures later.

WFMW- Cake decorating

I wanted to share with you all the very beautiful and easy way to decorate your children's birthday cake for a fraction of the cost a professional cake decorator would charge!  We will start with Bo's birthday cake he wanted a bug cake.  I was a little overwhelmed at first and then I turned to the trusty computer and started searching.  I came up with a dirt hill and bugs on it.

This cake was really easy, I first made a 9x13 marble cake and iced it with chocolate frosting.  Then I took my Pampered Chef batter bowl and made another marble cake I placed it on top of the iced 9x13 cake to make a mound.  I then iced the round cake with chocolate frosting as well.  I took 3/4 of a bag of chocolate filled oreo's and 15 gram crackers and 15 chocolate wafer cookies and ground them down in the food processor to make "dirt".  I then patted the dirt onto the icing and put plastic bugs all over.

Now Daisy's cake was a little difficult.  She wanted a Barbie princess birthday cake...  I spent a really long time scanning the Internet in search of a cake and I combined several ideas and what I came up with is to take a 9 inch round cake and also the batter bowl for the dress.  I bought a 5 dollar barbie and after the stacked cakes had cooled I wrapped her legs in plastic wrap and stuck her down in the middle (I hollowed it first) leaving her top exposed.  I also put her hair in a plastic bag.  I then took fondant found at Walmart and dyed it purple with Wilton's food color.  I rolled and rolled until I had just the right amount and put her dress on.  I cut around the base of the cake stand and made a top with the remaining fondant, as well as a bow for the bake of her dress.  I then took cake decorating tips and made the back of the dress, and the decorations.  The polka dots are Wilton decorating dots for cakes.  The total decorating time not including baking was around 2 hours.  Daisy was very happy with her cake.

Have you ever had Pretzel salad?

Let me tell you pretzel salad is one of my favorite desserts of all times, and since it uses the word salad I am just a little less guilty for eating half the pan myself!  We have family visiting from Ohio this week, both of my grandma's baby sisters and my cousin Stacy and her daughter Emily who I played with when I was a little girl remember I posted a picture of us a few weeks ago.
So tonight I am having the whole gang over for dinner, we are going to have my special pulled chicken BBQ which I am starting now because it takes all day in the crockpot, don't you just love the crockpot?  I do, even more in the summer because we run all day and with swim lessons this week I can pop some goodies in the pot and still have a great dinner.
I am making HM baked beans, coleslaw which I have found to be so easy, I just use the food processor to chop up the cabbage and a few carrots and I have been using Maries Coleslaw dressing, this is the best coleslaw I have found you need to try it.
Now on to dessert I want you all to get to have this wonderful yummy and almost guiltless dessert with me.

Pretzel Salad
1 stick of butter or 1 cup of Parkay butter spray (if you are feeling very health conscious like my lower extremity's need me to be)
2 cups  white sugar
1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
1 8oz container of cool whip
1 8oz container of cream cheese (can also use low fat but not fat free)
1 20oz can crushed pineapple

Melt butter and mix with pretzels and 1 cup sugar, press into the bottom of a 9x13 pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, you are making a crust with sugar butter and pretzels, does it get any better than that IDONTTHINKSO!
Now take your room temp cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar mix well and then stir in the very well drained pineapple and then fold in the cool whip.
Now spread the pineapple mixture on top of the cooled pretzel crust.  Add a few crushed pretzels for looks and refrigerate for a few hours.

Now hurry off the store and buy everything to make this lovely salad you will thank me!  Happy Tuesday!

Birthday Party pictures

Bo and Daisy's party was a hit!  Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the party very much!

Mr. Johnson helped Daisy hit the pinata, she did a great job!

I loved his hat!  He wore it all day long, and ever yesterday.  He is very fond of hats.

The trip, the long night and the party.

We left on Thursday to take my mom to have the first of two cataract surgeries.  Her surgeon is in a large town about an hour and a half from where we live.  The surgery was a very big success!  She really didn't even experience much pain.  The hotel we stayed in had a pool so the kids were very pleased to say the least.
All went really well until bed time.  We go a room with two queen beds.  Bo and Daisy were to sleep with me, and Luke with my mom.  This seemed to make perfect sense while making the arrangements but let me tell you I couldn't have been  more WRONG!  Bo sleeps very still but the child is a human furnace who also steals covers repeatedly through the entire night.  And to my surprise Daisy will not remain covered she kicks the covers off all night long and if I try to cover myself she starts to kick landing the back of her heals into my stomach or arms or anything else that gets in her way all the while I am fighting to remain covered while Bo the furnace steals them and Daisy kicks me.
Now on the other side of the room Luke is kneeing my mother over and over and in between all that
SHHHH, she snores really loud, now this is a secret so please don't say anything, she might get mad but since you all are just a few of my best 100 or more friends I wanted you all to understand just how bad the night was and ya'll it was bad!
So in between the loud snores and kicking and freezing cover less I thought I heard the fire alarm it was very muted but still I could hear a low whining noise, I ran to the door and opened it, nothing.  After 15 minutes looking around I realize the fridge is making the funny noise and I try again to sleep.
Longest night of my life I swear, and I have to do it again next month, Lord help me!
On Friday morning we got up early and went to her post op appointment and then we let the kids go swimming for a a couple hours to make up for the long car rides and everything.  I need to tell you all while we were at the pool a man I will refer to as Mr. Massachusetts because that's all I know or want to know about him,  was at the pool he was with his 2 sons.  I smiled at Mr. Massachusetts politely because my 2 boys were going to be splashing and canon balling for the duration of our visit and so I saw fit to at least smile and politely say hello because that's the SOUTHERN thing to do not for any other reason!  Now Mr. Massachusetts tried to make small talk, probably whipped my face with my left hand 30 times people to let this man know I am married, I even asked the kids loudly are you ready to go home and see Daddy, they said NO we want to swim, great that plan back fired.  This man just kept right on staring and smiling all big at me, it gave me the creeps!  I finally made mention that his son looked like his mother (I had seen them the night before at the pool) and he quickly said oh that's not my wife she is my sister! Yikes~!  The kids and tried to stay in the hot tub while he was in the pool and finally he left and not before telling me it has been a pleasure to meet you today, What!  I just think it is totally rude, I was evidently married and with 3 rowdy kids to boot.  So Mr. Massachusetts you need to mind your manners we southern woman say hello when we enter a room full of people out of politeness not interest and it was not a pleasure being watched by a very hairy man who had no manners!  Thank you very much!
We arrived home on Friday evening we stopped and had dinner with my grandparents.  We got home around 9pm I hurried to start making cakes.  Saturday was Bo and Daisy's birthday party which was a big hit!  I will post pictures tomorrow.  I can't wait for you all to see the cakes!  I am going to post them on Wednesday for WFMW.  You all are going to be so proud of me!  I did a great job on the Barbie princess cake and a Bug cake for Bo.
We had a fish fry for the birthday dinner and then the kids did a pinata it was a lot of fun!  The kids got all kinds of toys  Bo loved all his new Playmobile and if you have little boys and haven't found playmobile yet you need to get in the car right now and drive to the nearest Target or ToysRUs and get your son some!  Daisy got a new doll house from Twice Blessed Mommy and Daddy and all the furniture, she loves it!  We got her a few Barbie Island Princess things, the kids are watching the movie right now.  I will post some pictures tomorrow.

Love or respect?

*Originally posted back when I was the only one reading my blog...  I have to say after this post, Daddy has always called me when being late.  I thought you all might enjoy this post.

Yesterday, Daddy was 20 minutes late coming home from work... Let me start by saying "I" forgot to put his cell phone in his lunchbox... Needless to say Daddy did not call me to tell me he was running late. At 5 minutes late on bible study night I'm thinking did he stop and drop off the trash? At 7 minutes dinner is now cold, (shrimp scampi that I worked hard to make at just the right time so it would not taste rubbery and it would be ready the minute Daddy walks in the door) and rubbery. At 10 minutes I page him which does no good HE DOES NOT HAVE A PHONE! At 12 minutes I pray that God would deliver him home safe and that I would stop thinking irrationally! At 15 minutes I pray again that Daddy would be safe that The pit in my stomach would leave oh and God please bring him home safe! At 17 minutes I yet again remind God I am flawed I am experiencing FEAR real FEAR, I them rebuke FEAR remind myself God loves Daddy more than I do and that God will bring him home safely... At 20 minutes Daddy gets home, I give God all the glory for delivering Daddy home before he even walks in the door. At which point I have two choices 1. Greet Daddy with open arms and tell him I was wondering where you were, I am so glad you are home safe, here is dinner darling and hurry so we are not late for bible study... or 2.I can say I can not believe you did not call me, did I or did I not buy you a watch, for crying out loud you work for the phone company you could have called to tell your wife "I will be a few minutes late darling" have you meet me you knew i would worry about you, What I 'm I supposed to think when you are 20 minutes late I should never have to be subjected to unnecessary fear that you have been in a tragic accident on the highway...
You will never believe which option I choose, I wish I could say I am always a pillar of strength and can rebuke Fear and be quick to listen and slow to anger, But I am not, I shamefully choose 2...
Daddy of course did not apologise for being late he told me I needed to apologise for yelling at him. I never let the kids know I was worried about Daddy being late so when he got home and I blew up at him they were like what in the world is wrong with mommy. He felt disrespected and I felt disrespected, we then had to leave for bible study.
At bible study we were doing a video program on love and respect (boy is God funny or what) before we got in the car I told Daddy and the kids I was sorry that I had gotten so mad at Daddy, that even though Daddy was late I should not have yelled at him. Daddy forgave me and quickly apologised for not calling and letting me know he was running late.
The video program talked about how woman want to be loved and men want to be respected, I think we want them both. I know Daddy loves me, He never hesitates to tell or show me, I felt very disrespected when he did not call me, after 14 years together Daddy knows that makes me crazy it always has and probably always will, but I never and I repeat never have felt unloved.
Daddy also knows I love him with all my heart, which is why after I was scared to death he was hurt or worse I just freaked out -good reason- NO, Anger and fear go hand in hand and are both sinful, I was disrespectful and so was Daddy. I am so glad in our marriage that we never let the sun go down without forgiving each other to tell the truth we have never not even once walked away from a disagreement without a resolution right then and there, I love that about us.
We of course shared and laughed at ourselves with the other couples at bible study, we allowed God to show us both a valuable lesson WE LOVE EACH OTHER AND RESPECT EACH OTHER and need to act like it because actions do speak louder than words especially while our children are watching...
I am ever praying for peace and a sound mind that I will not sir come to fear, it's hard to untrain your mind, but I will continue to pray daily for this area of my life and mind so God can bring me into the place of peace he intends for me to have, I have come so far in the battle over fear it almost never even bothers me anymore, but obviously still have some work to do. (Daddy called tonight at 4 to let me know he had been approved for over time and would be running late) I just LOVE him.
So I guess my conclusion is every marriage needs a good dose of both love and respect, men however really need to feel respected 9 times out of 10 they know they are loved but question how much their wives really respect them. I asked Daddy do I fall short on the respect in our marriage and even after my little episode he said I know you respect me and love me, I was glad that I am able to give Daddy what he really needs and wants in a wife. I also feel respected and loved and very fulfilled as a wife.

Sincerely Fro Me To You ~ Mom's pictures

Right after we came home from Ft Lauderdale our beloved camera broke.  The cost to fix is pretty high, around 300$ so we will have to wait a little while to fix it, but I can not be left cameraless and my mother agreed to allow me to borrow hers.  In doing so I have down loaded all her pictures which consist mostly of my kids to my computer and then to a disk for her.  I had never seen any of her photos and she had some really good ones.  For this weeks Fro me to you I am sharing a few of my favorites I found on her camera.

This is Tate with his mama kissing his little fat neck.

Reese laughing at her mama.

Here is Twice Blessed Mommy and I with Tate and Reese at the Aquarium.

I have no idea where I am here in this picture or why my mom took it, but I love my necklace and I need to go find something to wear with it today...

Here is HD and I loving on each other!

Happy Birthday Bo

My sweet baby boy is 5 years old today, he will be starting Kindergarten in the fall which is so overwhelming to think of homeschooling two children.  So many firsts start at 5, sports and school...

Here is our sweet boy on his birthday 7/16/2003.  Bo was born at 1:15 pm.  He weighed 7lbs and 10oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.  HD took this picture after we had dinner that evening.

This is Bo at his first birthday party.  We had a Blues Clues theme.  He really loved the cake!

This was Bo's second birthday.  I was totally crazy, I had a pony party with 35 people 5 days after I gave birth to Daisy!  Our boy loved his party.

For Bo's third birthday we went to a water park close to TBM and TBD house.  We had so much fun!  Bo loved swimming and his favorite thing in the whole world is to go on vacation (when he was younger he called it Ma-K-tion) and this other favorite thing is his Aunt.

Now for his fourth birthday we had a combo party with Daisy, they had a pony party (same horse his name is pistol) he had even more fun at 4 than 2, and so did I.

Happy Birthday Bo!  We love you more than words can ever express, you are a miracle baby the beginning of my healing.  You have given our family so much laughter and so many  smiles, everywhere we go people just love to say how cute you are!  You have a laugh like no one else in the world, it makes me smile just thinking of it.  You are a best friend to your older brother and a wonderful big brother to your sister, you make Mommy and Daddy proud that God choose us to be your parents!  We love you now and forever!

My Apron Collection Better Late Than Never

I have spent my day running around, I had to take my mom to the doctor about an hour from home and then we went out to dinner so I haven't had any time to sit down and blog today.  I really wanted to play along so I asked HD to take some pictures of my apron collection and he is just the sweetest thing and did.

I have 8 aprons.  Three of them Twice Blessed Mommy bought for me, this one she gave me for Thanksgiving last year

And then she gave me this great Vera Bradley purse with matching apron for Christmas

And last weekend while she was visiting she stopped at an antique store and saw this beautiful Vintage apron and she so generously bought it for me

Now these lovely aprons are vintage they belonged to my great grandma, she was a very wonderful cook and I proudly wear her aprons often, my favorite is this white one with a the straps crossing in the back

I can't get this picture to go up right but you see the straps

She wore this pink one more for everyday cooking and so do I.  I use the pocket to collect eggs and hold toys....

This one is light blue gingham again an everyday apron

My grandma gave me this apron when I got married.

And last but not least is my beautiful apron from the Apron Queen, I love it!  I love the pockets for holding things and the colors are great!
Oh and by the way, some of the pictures are by my computer where I spend my time talking to all of you...

Go over to We Are THAT Family for more apron fun today!

When we moved to No Where

*I have no idea why this looks so strange and I am out of town so I can't fool with it now....
So try and understand this funny mess, it is fitting with this post.

Kristen at We are THAT Family has a offered a great button for those of us who are
also THAT family, you know the ones... I was inspired to share a time that every
thing went wrong.
We decided 4 years ago to move from our very upper class neighborhood where
I drove a Cadillac) to a town 4 hours away in the middle of no where (driving an
old ugly green mini van)... Let me tell you why.
HD was working with a large computer company and he traveled away from us
(then Luke and Bo) 5 days a  week, he left at 3 am on Monday morning and
returned sometime friday normally around 8 or 9 at night. We had prayed for
years for HD to find a local job but to be honest he made so much money nothing
could compare. Anyway, while camping near the place we live now, God started
working on my heart, I felt instantly like we are supposed to live here, and in one
week we had scoured the home ads and made a God lead decision to move to a
town 4 hours away because the cost of living and lifestyle was so much less, but
we would have so much more, HD home with us! It was a really hard decision,
we were very involved in our church being church planters, HD ran the sound board,
helped every week to pull the truck full of portable church things (we met in a roller
skating rink) and helped set the whole church up, I was helping with worship and
the nursery ....
So we were leaving alot behind to go to a place we know not one single person, but
still believing God is totally leading us. My wonderful Brother and Sister in law came
from Ohio to help us pack up our 2 moving trucks, and head out to our new life.
But the trouble began early, 2 trucks weren't enough we had to drive 80 miles an
hour to another town to get the only truck available on a holiday weekend, we go
it though. We drove on until 1 am finally arriving at our new home deep in the
forest, I will never forget my Sister in laws face when we got out of our cars, she
said This is no Where, you have a baby, this is out there... As we got out of the
I excitedly said lets go look at the pool, it was a lovely above ground attached to
our deck, as we came around the corner our feet got wet and it was not raining,
but our pool had collapsed, all the walls were laid out in the yard and water was
Everywhere.... Ok, maybe we didn't need a pool. We came inside things were well,
it was late and we both had little babies and toddlers, we laid down on the sleeping bags
and went to bed. The next morning when the sun came up we saw that their was
saving the pool so we cleaned up the mess while the guys started to unpack the
trucks. A very odd oder was coming from our moving truck, it smelled like trash,
not my trash more like a dumpster. As we made our way through the truck the
smell was actually gagging us. When HD got to our mattress our brand new
mattress our $2000 brand new mattress, he found this black stinky wet mess, it
seems as if some of the generous church friends who helped us pack accidentally
HD's Compost bucket, and then some one accidentally turned the box upside
down which made the compost sludge spill out onto our new bed and every box it
came in contact with... It was Sunday the day before Memorial Day in the middle
no where, so we high tailed it to Sams Club 20 miles away and settled for a mid
grade mattress that didn't smell like death. Memorial Day was fairly uneventful
until we started unpacking my china cabinet, not one single dish was left,
all of them were broken, every wine glass except 2, I was just as crushed as my
dishes! I guess heading over the mountain and down one gravel road after
another was to much for my lovely crystal. And then as we were working our
way through the broken glass we here screaming from the bathroom where my
brother in law and HD were giving the babies a bath, I came around the corner to
see my 9 month old baby boy Bo covered in blood, his eye was split open and he
was screaming so bad, I knew he need a plastic surgeon because I had been
through this before with Luke but thats another story another THAT family story.
We had a children's hospital back in our big town, I had no idea where to go or if
they even had a children's hospital, we made our was to the hospital and indeed
he did need a plastic surgeon to fix his eyelid, he need 9 stitches, we had to hold
him in this strait jacket like wrapping while they fixed his little face, and yes we
had to hold him that was so horrible, to see your baby helpless and being stitched
back together. It seems as if he stood up in the tub and fell before HD could grab
him he smacked his face on the side of the tub and it split right open. We were at
the hospital for 6 hours. The next morning it seemed really hot, it was because
our air conditioning was broken, as I went for the phone we realized it was out....
So no phone no air, in the middle of no where, I just kept thinking God must really
want us here or did we move to the money pit? We used our cell to call the phone
company they told us it would be 5 business days, and have a lovely day, I would
tell you how stupid they are but thankfully, 9 months later HD got the job that
brought him home with that same phone company, so I love them and they pay
the bills so I will leave all negative comments to myself ...So they come and fix
the air for $400.00 and not but and hour later the power went out and stayed
out all day. By now let me tell you I felt like we had made a big mistake I want
to go home back to the big town back to our friends away from no where.
The next day was the first day that seemed normal we even had a bonfire, because
we were country people now and we felt like we needed to burn something. All the
sudden a large deer ran through our yard and my dog chased it, she was gone all
night she was lost. HD slept on the couch, and called for her all night.

Our dog did come back about noon the next day. The lights have stayed on except for
a few winter storms. We have a best friend who works in heating and air so if
the air trys to go out we are covered. Bo's eye doesen't even have a visable scar. We
Love No Where, God has provided us with so much here, HD being home is the biggest
thing of all, our family felt so empty mon-fri, husbands and fathers are needed every
day. We have a wonderfully amazing church, we have great friends. We love small town,
I wouldn't leave No Where.

Bruschetta Chicken Bake (from Ruby Wife)

I am making this for dinner tonight and will be setting this to post on Saturday because we are going out of town.  I am giving you all this recipe because it just sounds so good I know it will be.  And Ruby Wife is a great cook so I know it will be good!

4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (chopped in small bite size chunks)
1 Box of stuffing (chicken flavor)
1 28oz can of diced tomatoes undrained
2 TBS dried basil
2 cloves garlic minced (I use 2 TBS jarred garlic)
salt and pepper to taste.
1 or 2 cups Mozzarella

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees.  Place the uncooked but completely thawed chicken chicken chunks in the bottom of a 9x13 pan, salt and pepper the chicken.  Now mix the stuffing, tomatoes, basil and garlic in a bowl mix well.  If the mix looks dry you can add up to 1/2 cup of water but go slow so it's not soggy.  Spoon the mix over the chicken.  Bake for 35 minutes.  Take a small piece of chicken out for testing doneness.  If it is done, add the cheese on top and bake 5 more minutes.

Eat and enjoy!

Happy Birthday Daisy

Today my baby girl is 3....

This picture was take of Daisy just minutes after she was born.  She was born at 6:14 pm she weighed 8 lbs and 2 oz.  She was 21 inches long.

This was Daisy at her first Birthday party.  She had the most beautiful dress made for her with her name on it (her real name or I would show you) Twice Blessed Mommy got it for her.  You can see what it looked like here.  She loved the cake!

This was Daisy's 2nd birthday party,  she was born on the 11th and Bo's birthday is the 16th so they had a shared pony party.  She had tried so hard to stay up all day but still fell asleep before her cake.

Happy Birthday Daisy, you are a joy to all who meet you, you are a blessing strait from God!  We love how you have such a nurturing heart, you will be a wonderful mother some day!  You have a smile that lights a room.  I can't wait to see all the things you will do and accomplish, with God on your side you can do anything!  We love you with all are hearts now and forever!
